It seems it is all but official, Saplletti is taking over Garcia's job.
Not my first choice, especially for 1.5 years. Would have rather a short term solution (Leonardo? Lippi?) and Conte in the summer. I don't like come backs either, they rarely work out well. But it is what it is I guess. He knows Roma well and repeatedly claimed to love it like a fan even after he left. He should need no adaptation. Maybe even want to finish where he left. It will certainly be interesting to see what he can do with a significantly better resources, but also in a very much competitive Serie A compared to when he was last here.
