Traditional thread about CSKA winter preparations to the second part of the season.
Seventh time in a row CSKA starts with the first winter camp at Campoamor, Spain. The first camp will take from Jan 10th till Jan 22nd, the tyeam will concentrate on the physical preparations and it will end with two frendly matches at Jan 20th (against FC Sion) and 21st (the coaching staff plans to use two different teams in that matches).
The second camp will also take place at Campoamor starting at Jan 25th and ending Feb 6th, during the camp CSKA plans to play at La Manga Cup (three matches at Jan 29th, Jan 31st or Feb 1st, Feb 3rd against Odd, Valerenga and Dinamo Zagreb) plus one additional friendly at Feb 6th.
The third camp will also take place at Spain in the Costa del Sol region, between Feb 10th and 26th. CSKA will play four friendlies during that camp. CSKA first official match of the season is the Russian Cup Quarter-final away at Ufa.
The team arrived to the first camp yesterday with the exception of Vasily Berezutsky and Zoran Tosic (the latter arrived today morning). Vasily is the only player not training 'cause of still recovering from the injury he got last fall, however it is planned that he will join the team at the second camp. Roman Eremenko and Georgy Schennikov are on individual training schedule during the first camp. Fernandes and Pomazun who also were injured when the team went to the holiday, are on full training with the team.
As usual there is a bunch of younger players from the U21 team with the first squad at the first camp. Beside Chernov, Golovin and Pomazun who were regularly training with the first squad during the season, in Spain arrived Aleksandr Makarov and Amir Natcho. Another addition to the team is the returning from loan at Ural Carlos Strandberg.
