Raul Gonzalez announces retirement from footy: Raul's place in history?

vendredi 16 octobre 2015

We all know the amount of titles he won!
We all know about all the records he established!
Is that enough to label him a legend?

This guy is the Spanish Del Piero, in other words, a legend by default!
A great promising player who overstayed his welcome. He established numerous records (based on longevity) more than anything!

Truth be told: this guy was a superb Robin :proud:, a great number 2 (I'm sure you peons can relate) but he was no Batman :proud: and he was definitely no Superman :proud:!

He played second fiddle to Redondo :proud:, and then Figo :proud:, and then Zidane :proud:, and then O FENOMENO :proud:, and then Beckham :eekani:, and so forth and so forth!

Dags will never forget the hissy fit "the captain" threw when O FENOMENO :proud: forced MORONtes (Raul's boyfriend) to find another club!

He won nothing at the International Level, simply because he wasn't good enough!

He was upstaged by a one-season wonder Englishman!

A legend? Not even top 50 material!
Thank you, for the memories!
You were always a great number 2!
A good sidekick at best!

What say you?
your thoughts…your thoughts...
