A trip out in the Sunday afternoon sunshine would be a welcome trip out for the players who have played in something like three draws in a row.

All the other teams above us have already played. Inter and Roma played yesterday. Even Juventus played on Friday. Only Napoli can reach Inter this week as we are now officially one point short at the top of the table. A win would not close the two point gap, assuming a Napoli win.

The positive element is that we have simply been unlucky rather than ruthless. However, it appears as if only Kalinic has the calmness, experience and capability to ensure that we continue scoring goals as no other forward has stepped up to the plate as of yet. Only our full first team can maintain the title charge. Far too often this has been the case in the past and our first team can never stay fit.

Perhaps spend some money in the winter transfer time then? Christmas is closing in fast and I think we have enough to get over the line before we take a break for the second half of the season.

We need to take things one game at a time though and it's not just about how we're doing on the pitch. “The bond between players and club is fundamental" said Paolo Sousa at the pre-match press conference.

"Today we all went out to lunch together with the families of the players and that was very important. It unites us even more as a team".

This is the kind of thing that could really help the team. If we can get the team to enjoy their football as a pass time, then the pressure on us might come off and that's something money can't buy.
