Here's a really tough match and an opportunity for some of the players to redeem themselves for the poor showing they had in the first half of the match against Tondela last weekend. We've dropped two points against Paços when we hosted them in Alvalade for the league but afterwards we also thoroughly beat them when he also hosted them on a League Cup match. Playing them at their pitch is however a different, and much harder, story.

JJ brings back all the players he rested in the League Cup which are in fact the most important ones.

This month of December will be one of the toughest of this season with an average of two matches per week and it starts with a tough away game in Madeira. Marítimo is having a fairly good season showing a good attack but also a not so solid defence. They already forced Porto to a draw so it will not be easy.

Sporting will be without our two regular forwards, Teo Gutiérrez is still injured and Slimani is suspended for one match after seeing his 5th yellow last week. JJ will probably field the same attacking duo that did so well in Moscow: Montero and Bryan Ruiz.

After last weekend's superb display over one of our two biggest rivals we've managed to get a 2 point lead in the league table and now it's time to work hard in order to keep it. Alvalade should be completely packed for this one so all is set for a great game. Wish I could be there!

Estoril already played with the other two big teams of our league and in both matches they lost but hey played quite well.

JJ can't count with Aquilani and Naldo (both injured) and Adrien (suspended for one match after seeing a 5th yellow this season). He also decided not to call Esgaio nor Jonathan Silva.
