Is it worth all the paper work, money, time, and investment in doing it?
Of course this thread is relevant to the "inferior" Passport holders such myself. I won't name other countries so nobody gets offended, so I'll stick to mine: Lebanese.
Reasons to not have this shitty passport:
1.) Corrupt government based on sectarian roots, warlord lineage and nepotism, without a clear guideline or roadmap for the country's future other than benefitting their own and their cronies and families' pockets.
2.) Constant state of war/playground for war: Yes f*ck Israel (<--- this is to piss off Ajala), we're at an eternal state of war with them, and the inevitable shit-storm beckons at any moment. Secondly, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Syria, USA, Russia, and heck even Palestine, are enjoying their wars in our country.
3.) Zero pension benefits. When I retire I will get nothing. *Nothing* from my government. And there is nothing I can do for my government (taking a page out of JFK's famous quote) because I probably don't have high connections up there. Well...my dad is well connected so he could hook me up since my uncle is the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Oh wait didn't we mention nepotism in #1? :err:
4.) Most expensive country in the middle east: Filling up an 1.8 liter engine car will cost you no less than $100. Recharge your mobile phone credit for $20...it'll last you five minutes. You want mobile data? Yeah another $20 for like 500MB (let's not talk about precious GigaBytes, because f*ck you and your social media that's why :D ). Pay ridiculously high electricity and water bills even though there is no electricity and water shortage in Lebanon. :howler:
5.) Visa privilege to limited places like Syria, Jordan, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Malaysia (Firdaus, let's meet halfway some time?), Georgia (why the f*ck would I want to go there? I heard it's awesome btw.), Armenia (yes, thank you for returning the favor I guess?), Macau (I don't gamble or sit on a million bucks :lazy: ), The Sultanate of Oman :proud: ....oh and of course, the Islamic Republic of Iran because the free world can s*ck my ayatollah worshipping bawlzz :finger: :yess: (<--- that part was to piss of Ajala as well)
6.) Shitty-ass paying jobs...that's if there are any jobs.
7.) Piles upon piles of garbage. Literally we are living in filth. Shit-hole in every sense of the word.
8.) The West views the presence of Hezbollah in our parliament and having non-military institutions as support for "terrorism". One man's terrorist, another man's freedom fighter bla bla
9.) Visa application process: Bank statements, interviews, employer documents/permission, waiting, the fact that I just can't hop on a plane and travel to Los Angeles because I feel like seeing something I've only seen in movies. (I've never crossed the pond). I had to submit every detail and document of my life story just to travel to Italy. Like pleaaaase let me in your country, I swear I earn a phat ass salary, own properties and do not intend to abandon that shit for pizza and pasta and the colloseo, pllllleeeeeeeeaaaasssse!!!
10.) Eternal traffic jams. So if not driving through the pile of shit that is Lebanon, you'll likely sit in it for hours.
11.) Getting shot. Ok so much like the USA (the supposedly "civilized" place I would aspire to go to?) - in Lebanon if you cut someone off while driving, or show someone the finger? Yeah that'll cost you your life. Get in to fight in the club (not that I do clubbing) coz someone looked at yo' b*tch, or you looked at someone else's b*tch? Yeah just two days ago a murder happened because of that :)
12.) Superficial Lebanese mentality. I'm richer therefore I'm better than you.

Potential benefits I could get from USA / Canada / Australia / NZ / Norway / Other civilized western country
1.) Free schooling, low college tuition fee. Secured future for my child(ren).
2.) Freedom to roam the f*cking world when I feel like it. Ease of travel.
3.) Security. No threat from angry neighboring nations.
4.) A civic society that encourages self-development, learning, academia, and overall self-fulfillment. Whether you're a janitor or a CEO, you are still a valuable member of society earning benefits and treated with respect.
5.) Equality. Westerners love to queue.
6.) Greener pastures. The desert and all that shit described in orientalist literature is overrated. Except for belly dancers. And Hummus. :yum:
7.) No religion shoved down your throat. And you are not judged if you worship 1, 2, 4, or spaghetti monsters. Islamophobia....meh....I'm islamophobic if you ask me. #TheIrony :err:
8.) Environmentally conscious society that give a shit about the planet. SO uh....let's get something straight, I'm no tree hugger, and I'm a typical gas guzzling, air conditioning, turn on all the lights kind of Arab.
9.) Investor-friendly business opportunities.
10.) Retirement pension.
Disadvantage:
1.) You pay shit-load of tax.
2.) By the time I have to alllll the procedures and paperwork, and finally earn the God damn passport it will be 20 years from now. Worth it?
3.) Potentially need to learn a new language. I have no problem with that.
4.) Risk of not even getting nationality and potentially wasting my time and money.
