*This has nothing to do with the Serbian NT*
I know my Serb compatriots went through similar treatments but have wondered if anyone else here experienced the same -- namely, wwe fathers living/hating/politicizing vicariously through their son/daughter's sporting achievements.*
My quick sports CV:
12 years football
5 years American football
16 BMX races
8 amateur boxing fights
2 years high school basketball
2 months university rugby
I also know we have tonnes of wwe father "life stories" but wanted to know specifically if your dad helped or hindered your sports experience. My own pretty much hindered everything I did because nothing was good enough for him.
ex. 14 1st place finishes on my bike but my father would ALWAYS point out how close the other riders were to catching up and, "why do you want to ride a bicycle? You're not going into Chinese food delivery", and "Nothing will come of this".
ex. being pulled from the football team (and trips) because "those fvckin English and Irish don't know how to add 2+2".
ex. American football: "Why should I watch you play when you stand on the sidelines for half the game with a helmet?"
ex. Boxing: "You're too slow. A Mexican would knock your head off and go back to the beach afterwards" And then bring up some vague reference to a great Yugoslav village Judo champion.
So, WWE Dads: help or hindrance for your sporting careers?
