Sampdoria v Fiorentina
Sunday Night
A bumper Sunday special sees Serie A go through a massive round up of matches. Torino take on Inter in the 11:30 kick off, Roma take on Lazio in the 2pm kick offs and we round off the evening with a trip to Sampdoria in the big evening match. I can't remember the last time we had so many top matches in Serie A but it should fill the belly before we all go off for yet another international break.
We go into the match nice and confident off the back of a European victory showing the depth of the team. We would also be going in top of the table, but with Napoli 5pm kick off against Udinese in addition to the Rome derby and the Inter-Torino game, we do well to still be clear at the top going into the evening match.
Marcos Alonso would probably be available to start which would be useful as we don't really have a replacement for him in the team. Like the manager, no player has ruled out winning the title. No member of the Fiorentina staff believe that the title is beyond them with Paulo Sousa reiterating his stance that 'nothing is being ruled out'.
It's our duty as fans then not to rule out inflicting Samdoria's first home defeat of the season.
