An afternoon to waste? FFT's "100 Best Football Stadiums"

So, I found this and find it pretty fun and comprehensive. Despite some errors and stylistic infelicities, it is generally well-informed and well-written, although the whole format could be friendlier. Definitely worth checking out if you're into this type of thing, and good if extremely brief intro to many cool places and stories.

There is interesting information in some cases, mostly through links to youtube videos. In some cases, there should have been better/more pictures and text, but it's a long list.

The selection and the order are quite arguable -- in my opinion the latter is even unimportant, it's just an impressive assemblage of stadia under very eclectic criteria (that they try to explain) but which almost in all cases constitute "places in which I'd love to watch a game". From the second division team's stadium in Berlin half built with the free labor of 2000 of its own fans, to Britain's architectural jewels, going through the striking Soviet concrete moles, the ones that witnessed civil wars, the ultra modern Asian ones, crazy atmosphere ones, etc.

It's also interesting to realize that I've been to probably less than a handful of these. Hopefully many more to come. I'd make a fine football tourist.
