Is Messi the greatest WF of all-time?

lundi 30 novembre 2015

He played on the right flank as a RWF from 05 up until 09 and won
his first ever Ballon d' Or along the way.

And then he became a false 9/SS/FW (big mistake, IDHO), scored tons of goals, and won 3 additional Ballon D'Ors.

As we all know, he switched back to his old position last season and La Pulga :proud: is about a month away from earning his 5th Ballon d' Or crown :eekani::eekani::eekani: and rightfully so! This would be his second Ballon d' Or as a winger. He's played as a winger a total of 6 seasons (and will continue to do so as long as the MSN remains a unit) and a total of 5 seasons as a SS/FW/False 9. Ronaldinho won two FIFA POYAs on the left side but he's no match for Messi anymore.

CR7? He's won 3 Ballon D'Ors as a left-winger but we all know he's nowhere near as good as Messi. So that leaves us one man and one man alone:

ALEGRIA DO POVO - GARRINCHA!
I've seen the videos, Garrincha was nothing alike Stanley Matthews. Mane Garrincha was more than just your typical winger. He could go down the line or cut inside but isn't that what Messi does and more?

Dani Alves adds width when he joins the attack, yeah, but so did Djalma Santos when he used to surge forward.

I honestly don't think he'll ever replace Pele, as the game's greatest FW of all-time but Garrincha's title is not out of his reach.

Real Madrid returned to training following the win over Éibar.

The e first session of the week has concluded at Real Madrid City. Following the win against Éibar, the Whites got back to work to get ready for their inaugural Copa del Rey match, against Cádiz (Wednesday, 10pm CET). The players who started at Ipurua carried out a recovery session in the indoor facilities, although some of the first eleven like Keylor Navas, Nacho, Kroos, Kovacic and James also made their way out onto the pitch for a jog.

Rafa Benítez called up Castilla's Odegaard, Lienhart, Mayoral and Llorente, as well as the Under-19's Álvaro Fidalgo, for a training session in which the Whites worked on circulating the ball and pressing through a series of possession drills. After that, they practiced some attacking moves and played a high-tempo match on a small-sized pitch. Varane, Ramos and Marcelo are still recovering from injuries. The latter of the three made his way onto the pitch and passed the ball around.

After some great displays, and also great results, in the Cup and Europa League, we're back to the main dish. the league.

Tonight's opponent Belenenses are having a mixed season alternating some solid games with some pretty pathetic performances.

Sporting is looking increasingly better and although we will miss Jefferson and Teo due to injuries we will still field a very good XI.

Kadyrov trolls Turkey

Kadyrov blames Turkey for executing ‘Western plan to destroy Muslim nations

Quote:

The head of the Chechen Republic has accused the Turkish authorities of aiding the Islamic State terrorist group and taking part clandestinely in Western nations’ plots to weaken and destroy Islam.
Ramzan Kadyrov shared his ideas through a post on Instagram. He said it was a reply to accusations by Turkish mass media that he was opposing Muslims and acting on the side of infidels. Also, the Chechen leader countered the statements of the same mass media that Turkey has always helped the Chechen people.

“I prefer exact statements and I am asking you – when, where and with which has Turkey ever helped Chechnya and my people? Show me a single school, hospital, kindergarten or mosque presented to Chechnya,” Kadyrov wrote. “You only helped terrorists, Wahhabis. You raised funds for them, you offered them medical treatment and rest and they committed terrorist attacks, and killed Chechen people. Was this your help?”

The Chechen leader also accused Turkish journalists of distorting historical facts, saying the ‘help’ could be the immigration of tens of thousands of Chechens to Turkey in the 19th century, but this caused nothing but suffering. “Turkey lured tens of thousands of Chechens through deceit. They had to live in very harsh conditions. Over half of them perished within the first five years and any attempts to return to Russia were answered with gunfire,” Kadyrov said.

He went on to accuse the Turkish authorities of helping terrorists from Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) and other terrorist groups. “Turkey is not fighting ISIS! They are making business, they buy oil from them and finance the enemies of Islam who kill thousands of Muslims!” he wrote.

“The aircraft that Turkey has shot down was our aircraft! You know that there are millions of Muslims in Russia, why did you act on the hint of the United States and other Western nations, downed our plane and killed our pilot, who fought ISIS and protected Muslims?” the Chechen leader asked his Turkish opponents.

“I am the defender of Islam and Turkish authorities are helping to destroy Muslim nations and peoples. Wake up!” Kadyrov concluded.

Ramzan Kadyrov presents himself as a devout Muslim and often addresses the global Muslim community on various issues. Earlier this year, he expressed confidence that IS had been created “first of all against Russia,” and warned of the threat the jihadist group and the conflict in Syria pose to Russia’s security.

He has also repeatedly accused the US and other Western nations of “spawning” IS in order to incite hatred towards Muslims all over the world, distract public attention from numerous problems in the Middle East, and destroy Islamic nations from inside.

Last year, Kadyrov vowed to destroy IS after the group threatened to attack Russia. He also said he has repeatedly asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to send Chechen infantry and himself to Syria to take part in the anti-IS operation.

Serie A: Sassuolo v Fiorentina

Sassuolo v Fiorentina

Monday Night

After an astonishing round of results (including a Juventus win), we take our turn next against a less than easy Sassuolo side who sit behind Juventus, Roma and Milan.

We return from a relatively susessful week in which we took a 2-2 draw against Basel putting us in a relatively good position to qualify from the group stages of the UEFA Europa League. It was also because of that match we sit here on Monday night with an 'extra' day of rest.

Napoli will play tonight in the match of the evening and possibly even the week as they go up against Inter - now there's a team who really have had an extra day's rest.

After a couple of draws, Paulo Sousa will look to put back some winning stability in the team. He has some slightly tough choices to make now that he knows our second string team doesn't work quite like the first string team in that 3-4-2-1 formation he appropriates. This leaves him little choice but to pick the first string team that have taken us to the top of the table. So the only real decision he has to make is who plays in place of the unavailable Blaszczykowski. Will it be Gilberto or Bernadeschi?

Funny how a couple of years ago we would have easily settled to be in third place, but now, having reached the summit so early and so easily, third place looks like a failure. When the press starts calling you title challengers, you really have to live up to the name. Third place now looks exactly like what it has alway been; third.

Sassuolo 4-3-3:

Consigli

Vrsaljko - Cannavaro - Acerbi - Peluso

Missiroli - Duncan - Magnanelli

Sansone - Defrel - Floro Flores

Kalinic

Valero - Illicic

Marcos Alonso - Badelj - Vecino - Bernadeschi

Astori - Gonzalo - Roncaglia

Tatarasanu

Fiorentina 3-4-2-1:

This match is on at 6pm.

That's 9pm Bahrain, 1pm Boston and 5am Melbourne.

La Liga week 13 | Eibar vs Real Madrid |Sunday, Nov 29th |16.00 Local Time

samedi 28 novembre 2015

.
.
.
.

Casemiro has called on Real Madrid to put their Clasico thrashing firmly in the past when they travel to face Eibar on Sunday.

A 4-0 defeat to Barcelona last Saturday has left Rafael Benitez's side six points behind the champions in La Liga and increased the pressure on the head coach's position.

Madrid responded with a 4-3 win over Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League on Wednesday, in which they almost allowed a four-goal lead to slip in the final 15 minutes after Cristiano Ronaldo had scored twice and set up the other two for Luka Modric and Dani Carvajal.

.
.
.
.

Casemiro returned to the side for that victory in Lviv after missing the Clasico, but the Brazilian insists he was not angry at sitting out the Barca defeat and has urged his side to put it behind them.

"The Clasico is gone and you have to forget it and look forward. The victory [against Shakhtar] was important and now we have to rest and think about Eibar," he said.

"I'm not angry for not playing in the Clasico. We have a boss who is a top coach and knows what he is doing. I'm very happy in Madrid and I'll defend my coach, the players, the president - everyone."

Eibar themselves have enjoyed a strong run of form since losing to the champions in October, beating both Rayo Vallecano and Getafe at home before securing a creditable point away to Villarreal.

Having not lost at home since a 2-0 reverse to Atletico on September 19 and with Madrid's form uncertain at present, midfielder Adrian Gonzalez believes now is the best time to face his former club.

"It's true they're not in the best form and we know it’s difficult to play here, and this year, we're doing things right," he said, as quoted by AS.
.
.
.

.
.

"Maybe it's the best time to play them because things aren't working out so well for them.

"It's difficult for anyone to play at Ipurua and we're in a very positive mood because we are doing well. We have the belief to do something good here."

Madrid are faced with a defensive headache ahead of the game, with Raphael Varane (thigh) joining Sergio Ramos (shoulder) and Marcelo (hamstring) on the sidelines, while Isco is suspended following his red card against Barca.

Winger Keko is banned for Eibar, while Simone Verdi (hamstring), Jaime Jimenez (back) and Ander Gayoso (knee) are injured.

Key Opta Stats:

- Eibar have lost just one of their last eight La Liga games (W3 D4).

- The Armero side have gone four home games without a defeat (W2 D2). Should they win, this will be their longest winning run in the top flight (three games).
.
.

- Real Madrid have lost back to back La Liga games and haven't lost three in a row in the competition since 2008-09.

- Madrid have won La Liga on two previous occasions after being 6+ points behind the top side. Real Sociedad were seven points ahead on matchday eight in 2003 and Barcelona (MD24) and Sevilla (MD25) were both six points ahead of them in 2007.

- Madrid have lost just one of their 11 La Liga games without Isco (W8 D2) – this was a 1-2 defeat to Barcelona at Camp Nou in October 2013.

- The only season that Cristiano Ronaldo had scored fewer goals after 12 games of the season than this season (8) was in his first season at the club (5).

La Liga 13

Rayo v Athletic Club.

Funny one this.

Good result in the old Europa league, but our third game on the road in 7 days.

They are very decent at home, given their situation, with a 3-1-2 record.

Hopeful of a result and won't be too upset by a draw.

Thoughts guys?
La Liga 13

As things stand across Europe.

I did a thread like this a while ago, basically summarizing how the leagues across Europe are shaping up, or in some cases, how they've finished up, like in some of the Scandinavian leagues such as Norway where Rosenborg recently secured their latest title.

England - everyone's waiting for Leicester to crumble, it hasn't happened yet, they could've won today against Man United though unfortunately Ranieri blundered by starting Okazaki over Ulloa, Okazaki is the latest in a line of Japanese flops in England, and on United's goal Schweinsteiger was too physical for him. Tomorrow Chelsea have an important match against Spurs, Spurs are looking very good this season I must say, if Chelsea are to have any hopes of securing a CL spot, gaining a result from this match is of vital importance. There's some talk Spurs could compete for the title, but of course, a CL place is far more realistic.

Italy - Juventus started the season in horrendous fashion, I believe some of their fans were already calling for Allegri's head some weeks ago, but they appeared to have steadied the ship having strung together a series of wins. Roma have been considered one of the title favorites but you wonder if they're going to bungle it yet again, their fans have no confidence in Rudi Garcia, Napoli are doing well post-Benitez, Inter keep grinding out the results, the title race in Italy is quite interesting I must say.

Spain - The way Barcelona are playing, it seems impossible that anyone can stop them from taking another Liga crown. Also I just read that Tiago will be out six months for Atletico, a massive blow for them. The race for that final CL spot is quite interesting, some surprise teams in the running, such as Basque outfit, Eibar. Takashi Inui was their record signing this season from Eintracht Frankfurt but unfortunately he's found himself on the bench recently. Celta Vigo have also done well, though perhaps their form has dipped of late. Villarreal is another team of note. Valencia have been inconsistent, well, maybe their fans will just say they're been shite. Expect Sevilla to push up the league standings once they can focus purely on domestic matters.

Germany - as everyone knew, Bayern will comfortably take the league, so the interest lies in the remaining European places, and the relegation spots. Dortmund will finish 2nd, Wolfsburg and Gladbach currently occupy the remaining slots, and they seem like safe bets, Leverkusen perhaps can challenge, what's notable is the placings of capital club Hertha [5th] and recent strugglers HSV [6th], certainly no relegation battle for them this time. Hoffenheim is rooted to the bottom, also very disappointing seasons thus far for Stuttgart, Werder, Hannover and Frankfurt.

I'll cover some more leagues later.

Our bogey team of the last few seasons. We haven't managed to win the last 5 games against them. With the cup final of course the most infamous of them all.

Milan - Sampdoria, Tonight! 20:40

Led by the unearthly saviour Donnarumma Milan is about to pounce the life out of Sampdoria. A Sampdoria that sacked their manager recently, the old goalie Walter Zenile Zenga. Instead Montella, the crashing airplane, is leading them. I dont see how they will play much different from before though, we really need to look out for Eder/Muriel, especially with how they run with the ball. Alex is a bad choice for this game, but I aint our manager!

We will just keep on fielding about the same lads as before, hoping Bonaventura or Cerci conjure something or that Niang bounce back from last game with a good performance.

Key fights:
Cerci vs Mesbah
Niang versus Silvestre/Vergini
Eder versus Abate/Alex

I feel like we will win with the odd goal, 2-1

After another great performance in Champions league, where the team
managed to secure first place in the group one round before the end with
a magnificent 6-1 victory over Roma, it's time for La liga again. Camp
Nou will host an old friend of ours, our former first team assistant

Real Sociedad is currently 14th in the league with 12 points. In their last

miss Raúl Navas, Illarramendi, Bergara, Alain Oiartzun, Oier Olazábal,

2 losses in a row (Hamburg and Krasnodar) and now we welcome VFB Stuttgart that just sacked their complete coaching staff on Monday. So, quite difficult to say how the South germans will perform in the Signal Iduna Park. However the quality of our squad should be able to cope with any Stuttgart team and it has to to show it tomorrow.

Especially captain Hummels has to show up and stabilize the defense instead of doing the exact opposite. On the other end our front line needs to return to be more efficient and use the opportunities given. VFB is dangerour upfront and did show that in past games also in Dortmund, remembering the crazy 4-4 here.

Liga BBVA | J13 | Atlético de Madrid vs RCD Espanyol

Ok, so it's Espanyol on Saturday night and since Atlético passed Madrid in the league LFP decided that it'd be a good idea to give Atlético a day less in terms of preparation so they can get back on track.

Giménez was back on track against Galatasaray and Juanfran has returned (Gámez did well filling in for him btw) but Jackson Martínez is still injured. Carrasco is fine despite having some muscular issues in the last game. Most important of all: Gabi is suspended and will miss his first game of the season.

4-3-3 or an alternative version of 4-4-2 remains to be seen but the former seems very natural if Espanyol pack the midfield with Koke playing in the centre as he has been doing in the last two games.

Giornata 14: Mihan - Sampdoria

We are visiting Miha's Milan in the weekend, "Mihan". I'm not sure it will be Mihan for long as it's clear Berlusconi doesn't like Sinisa and his football at all. Anyway, let's talk about our team and Montella. Montella joined us with two away games to play, lost the one at Udine giving most of Sampdoria's fans the feeling he was trying to give a tactical plan to the team. Useless to say the same fans wexpect a further tactical improvement in this game and at least one point.
Zukanovic is banned after the red card he received in the past game, Moisander might fail to get chance because of yet another injury and as a consequence Regini will be the center back.
Ivan might get a chance at midfield.

I wish Serb footballers had balls.

Hi. My name is Sarma Police, and I walked out of a board meeting today with double middle-fingers in the air. It was cool because it happened in three different time zones.

I'm unemployed. And drunk. Mostly. Fvking Flemish beer hosers.
I wish Serb footballers had balls.

Tell me something,

We find ourselves in this desert, and it is night. In my opinion, this is a melancholy landscape.

My friend, sometimes I blather on. Frankly, at those times, the thing itself - whatever that means - eluded me, as wonderfully as when the doe, outwits the wolf.

My fire is yours. I have the whole night my friend.

Sit the sand, and speak truly. There are no gods at my fire, for I never allow it. I am heading, no where in particular. Nor am I quite skilled in any trade.

I have no belligerent inclination, power may sometimes amuse me, but I have no yearning for it.

I am but an earnest listener.

My childhood was years ago. I know some sadness. I travel the deserts. I had a hound once. He was swift and watchful.

I made love to a beautiful woman, some nights ago. I paid her for her time. And we made love. I wanted to kiss her, but made no such advance.

I asked her if she cared to stay the night. The fire was her's, and I would sleep apart from her. She declined, but not before she inquired.

Where did I come from, she wanted to know. And asked after my name, which I spoke for her.

I am ridiculed by some I have met in the desert. They satirize my hawk contorting. I confessed, as a younger man, to burning down a fruit stand. Though I had done no such thing, and was acquitted on account of some technicality.
Tell me something,

Why does the default setting of calendar apps have the week start on Sunday? That makes no sense. Sunday is the 7th day of the week. It comes last, not first. I caught only the final few minutes, so not much to say the game. It's good that we won even without Biglia and Anderson and now we will end top of the group no matter what happens in the last game (in which I guess even Morrison might get to play),

The Man in the High Castle

So this new TV series (by Amazon.com :googly:) came out recently.

As you might guess from the title, it is based on the classic sci fi book by Philip K Dick.

I've been a big fan of the book (and some others in here like JCam are too if my memory serves me right)...definitely sounds like a cool idea although I'm a bit sceptical of course...it's not an easy book to adapt.

I've not seen any episodes yet...apparently they did the pilot in January and released the rest of the Season 1 as a bulk last weekend?

Lokomotiv Moskva (RUS) - SPORTING CP

**********************

I will not be exaggerating if I say that there is a substantial part of Sporting fans that would not mind seeing us not qualifying for the knockout stages of the Europa League. In the past I used to criticize the attitude of both English and Italian sides who used to constantly field second tier sides when playing in this competition but now I started to understand them better. The amount of prize money that a club gets from EL is ridiculous when compared with the CL and the increasing lack of prestige of this trophy is of UEFA's making. If they started sharing more equally the prize money between their only two club competitions I am sure that clubs would regain the respect towards this tournament.

Having said so, and also looking at the list of players that travelled to freezing Moscow, I don't think we will field a team as different as our regular one, at least compared to the one that had such a poor display in Albania in the previous matchday.

From the regular starting XI, Rui Patrício (suspended), Jefferson, William and Teo Gutiérrez (injured) did not travel. Also Bruno Paulista and Carlos Mané are injured and did not go to Russia. Youngsters Stojkovic (nephew of the current Serbia keeper and ex-SCP player) and Podence joined the first team.

So, here's the group of players called by Jorge Jesus for the match:

Goalkeepers:
22 Marcelo Boeck, 26 Azbe Jug and 88 Vladimir Stojkovic.

Defenders:
21 João Pereira, 47 Ricardo Esgaio, 15 Paulo Oliveira, 44 Naldo, 55 Tobias Figueiredo, 5 Ewerton and 3 Jonathan Silva.

Midfielders:
6 Aquilani, 17 João Mário, 23 Adrien, 20 Bryan Ruiz and 28 André Martins.

Forwards and Wingers:
60 Gelson Martins, 73 Matheus Pereira, 56 Daniel Podence, 10 Fredy Montero, 8 Tanaka and 9 Slimani.

If we want to maintain hopes to qualify, only a win will do.

Gamification: XT Community players

I had an interesting conversation with a former colleague based on creating a game around a community. He's building a database and scrubbing general characterizations (inc. flow theory) of users within said community.

It's mostly about rewarding loyalty, generating buzz, and incentivizing more activity...but the real difference here is that the game is based on team play instead of individual accomplishments (a takeaway from his developer days at a major software company).

I was wondering how this would work on XT so I took some of his character design elements to build a basic "Serbian XT Player" (including the Description behind it).

How would you construct different WWE teams? Am I wrong about the Serbian XT player? If you were to help build a commmunity-based game, what characteristics would you add below?

_________________________________

Serbian XT

Memory: 10

Romania , the hearth of the World

The place that is now known as Romania was over 10.000 years ago , the place were human civilisation really sprouted. This truth is hard to digest for other nations that wish to be the "chosen people".

In the region known as Oltenia :proud: , it has been found that the oldest dwelling in huts in the world (18.000 years BC), the oldest mining activities, the oldest mining pickaxe found , the oldest metallurgical activity of copper in the world (8.000 years BC), the oldest writing in the world (tărtăria tablets, Alba 5-6,000 BC). Here was also invented the bow, the first blast furnaces in Europe, and from here humans left and formed other Indo-European peoples and others such as Iranians, Italus' poeple , frygienii, Scythians, Cimmerian tribes , Iberian Basques , Sarmatians, Hellenes (Achaeans and Dorians) fenicians..etc.

Traco-Dacians are the oldest and highest culture on Earth, predating even the Sumerian civilization, and the most numerous (180-200 tribes). They could be found across Europe (the Balkans, Ukraine, Hungary, Austria, Germany, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Italy, France, Spain, Turkey, Europe, Asia Minor, Africa ... even the Boers from South Africa were also Dacians, Burebista himslef having their blood).

The writing and with it the history, first appeared in the Thracian space and only later used by the Greco-Romans . Traco-Dacians had the oldest European agriculture (Neolithic) and among the oldest in the world. In their time they were the only people in the world who used the circle in devices for measuring time.

American scientists concluded in 95 that the biblical flood took place west-shore of the Black Sea were a highly developed country was living(wonder who?). Also Mount Olympus(Ulimp , meaning light in dacian language) was non other than our mount Bucegi were the legendary Sfinx is. Homer said that only Thracians knwe to fight on horse with the bow starting in milenium 5 BC :eyepatch:

The Thraco-Dacians were the most honest civilisation of all time , with every convention being finalised verbally and no pact being broken. When you weren't home , you just placed a stick at your door-step and it was enough  Dacians also never adopted salavery(only ancient civilisation :dazed:)

@ 1400 BC , in the north-danubian Thrace , the first ever school on Terra was created named the Andronicon were Zamolxian priests teached all disciplines.

According remaining testimonies of Plato and Socrates , Pythagoras himself completed his studies at the Zamolxian school , and they also stated that at that time in Dacia were the chief physicians of the time. The historian Herodotus, regarded the Cimmerians originating from the north eastern side of the Carpathians (now Moldova). Then some of them went south to Anatolia, where they were known as Cimiry. Subsequently migrated to Italy, Spain, England and Ireland and were later known as the Celts.

The area north of the Danube (today's Romania), was regarded as a terrestrial paradise. A land rich in almost all the riches of the earth, farmland (Granary of Europe later), pastures, all forms of relief, incredible natural waters, an area well-defended against most natural disasters, etc. A unique miracle of history, were local people could not be driven out or denationalized.

Romanians still retain the language, port, customs, traditions of their ancestors 7,000 years ago. Thorough analyzes of blood, demonstrates another miracle: despite numerous invasions, including more distorted Roman occupation, we kept genetic purity, specific to our ancestors. Romania remains a miracle, which has provided a messianic future. Indian prophet Sundhar Singh wrote in 1922 that Romanians will become a people loved and respected by all peoples of the world.

Long live the chosen people of God!!! Romania :proud: :musik:

UEFA Europa League

An important match for Paulo Sousa. The team saved it's players for the league so that we can take on the Swiss team in Switzerland in a first versus second match against Sousa's former club.

It's a big night for him.

As it happens, it's a big night for us too. We also want to win this game, go top of the group if possible and start to look ahead once again with confidence in both competitions. We do and should want to win both regardless of the end result. We really should not feel guilty of looking to win games and especially competitions, particularly when all the press headlines are pointing in Liverpool's and Klopp's direction for their match against Bordeaux. I would suggest that our game is bigger and in fact, the biggest game in Europe tonight.

Nikola Tesla was Croatian , Austrian scholars say.

Nikola Tesla was a Croatian-American Inventor, electrical engineer, mechanical engineer, and futurist best known for his contributions to the design of the modern alternating current (AC) electricity supply system. He is the man who harnessed lightning, a true genius, he envisioned new technologies far before their time and claimed to have had contact with extraterrestrial beings.

Who here experiences paradigm shifts?

Arsenal vs. Dinamo

Took care of business as they should, Cazorla was excellent, as was Alexis and Ozil. I wonder if more Arsenal fans are finally warming to Ozil after his excellent performances this season, I thought the commentator made a good point, with some players they give an 'aura of lazyness', it's easy to look at his body language, facial expressions etc. and assume he doesn't give a stuff sometimes, but that's just the way he operates.

Need to win by two clear goals in Athens, doubtful, but will be an interesting match.

Atmosphere was flat as hell, and the amount of empty seats by the end was embarrassing.

Hi guys!

I saw some topics about Fantasy Sports, including questions about sites similar to DraftKings that allow players from Europe and other regions outside US. Couple months ago me and my friend launched a site (http://dfs24.net/) about DFS industry outside USA:

DFS Sites - already 7, couple can be added in the near future, checking their trustworthy. There are Daily Fantasy EPL, La Liga, Champions League, Eredivisie at this time.

News - not a lot since it's new, but we're keeping eyes open

Tournament Review - upcoming event for major sports and league. Soon will add Tournament Report

Bonuses, Promo Codes - We have couple no deposit offers (Free €5 for registration). Also First Deposit Bonuses.

Analytics - something we are going to work on. Currently provide for EPL, La Liga and Champions League as much as we can, but format will be changed to provide more useful info.

We have plans to launch forum closer to the end of the year. Right now I'm happy to answer your questions (in english, can use google translate to read yours) or discuss anything related to DFS industry.

Roma will miss Capradossi, Gervinho, Salah and Totti, also doubful is De

Barça will miss Rafinha, Douglas and Mascherano due to injury (in

Universitario de Deportes:

The XI:

This challenge was proposed by Dagoods.

The biggest doubts about this team are not so much about individual selections, like having Leo Rojas or Eleazar Soria as right defender, but more about balance.
With Challe and Terry, 2 playmakers are selected. It could be just one with Luis Cruzado or Chemo adding more defensive weight. Or, offensively, Eduardo Esidio, Angel Uribe or right winger Juan José Muñante could be thrown into the mix.

Has anyone read FIFPro Black Book Eastern Europe? Is it worth the time, or, is it more along the lines of "Don't bother, it's common knowledge" stuff?

-----------------------------------

"The findings in the report are based on data collected within the project Black Book Eastern Europe.

This project tries to determine the range and extent of the problems currently existing in professional football in that part of the world. The questionnaire was designed by the FIFPro (Task Force Group for Eastern Europe) and translated into the national languages of all the participating countries.

The players’ unions from 15 Eastern European countries were invited to participate and, as such, copies of the questionnaire were sent to all of them. Data collection took place in September and October 2011 in Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Malta, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, and Ukraine.

Conclusions

The FIFPro Black Book Eastern Europe has a very clear message: for hundreds of professional footballers in Eastern Europe, their dream of making a career in football has turned into nothing short of a nightmare. They don’t receive their salaries they are physically and mentally abused and have to be on their guard against falling into the hands of criminals. A judge in Croatia recently compared the situation to that of slavery. That’s how bad things are.

Facts & Findings:
92.9% of payments are delayed because no money is available to the clubs.

Almost every sixth player has been forced to train alone (15.6% of the respondents). The most common reasons for training alone were that the club wanted to end the contract or players did not agree to sign a new contract with the club.

11.9% of respondents are saying that they have been approached to consider fixing the result of a match and more than twice of them 23.6%) are also aware of match fixing that took place in their league.

The records show that a staggering 94% of football players in Montenegro do not get their salaries on time and two thirds of the respondents from Greece (67.5%).

In the Czech Republic there are 18.4% of respondents writing that they have been bullied or harassed, most of them by a coach (62.2%).

More than every third player in theCzech Republic (36.5%) reports being a victim of racism or other forms of discrimination, in most cases caused by supporters (83.7%)

34.3% respondent in Kazakhstan has been approached to consider fixing the result of a match, in Greece almost every third player (30.3%). Almost half of the respondents from Russia (43.5%) are aware of match fixing in their league.

Insufficient financing of the clubs is the widest spread problem in the region. The case to highlight is the one of Adis Stambolija, Croatian first national league player, who has not been receiving wages, nutrition expenses and apartment rents, for more than consecutive 9 months. He also had to sleep in a locker room, because he had no money for fuel and apartment rents.

Boban Dmitrovic: ‘Matches in Serbia are fixed’
"...In all cases, the clubs agreed on the outcome of the match. Right before the match, a note was handed to the players. They had to cooperate, because their careers would be jeopardized.

The referees always knew what was going on. When something would not go according to plan, the referees took controversial decisions to enable the clubs to achieve their desired result."

I have to be honest, I know nothing on most of the players other than the obvious, recent players and perhaps the legend Adnan Al-Talyani.
The manager selected because I think he's better than half-hearted Carlos Alberto Parreira (World Cup 1990) and pissed-off Srecko Katanec (Asian Cup 2011).
